As a chronically shy and obedient child, Madeline Jones chose to unleash her frustration through creative pursuits. Starting out by acting in various community theater productions when she was eight, her love of storytelling lead her to writing for the stage and screen. Her body of work explores feeling like an outsider, whether that be through deconstructing archetypes or exploring the pathos or the hairy and slimy. Through directing, she seeks to uplift new theater voices through collaborative theater experiences, like 24-Hour Theater (a night of one-acts written/staged over the course of a day) and the Secret Family Sketch Show. When she helps a new creative bring an original piece to life, she goes to bed smiling. Currently, she's working towards a B.A in Theater and a B.A in Film at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
